ELEANOR FRANCIS

About

Eleanor Francis is a Melbourne based Speech Pathologist who works with Liberator Pty Ltd as a Therapy Consultant. She provides therapy support to individuals who use AAC and their families as well as providing support to Speech Pathologists new to AAC.

 Her previous work as a Special Developmental School-based therapist has enabled her to develop skills working within classrooms to support access to the curriculum. Outside the classroom, she provided support to teaching teams for the development of inclusive programs and for the planning of AAC device use.

 Eleanor was involved in adapting a play-based program for young people who are neurodiverse to support the inclusion of students with additional needs including complex communication. This led to co-authoring the manual ‘Storying Beyond Social Difficulties with Neuro-Diverse Adolescents. The "Imagine, Create, Belong" Social Development Programme’.
