ABOUT
What is SLP2B
The SLP2B 2020 event aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn from professionals from a range of different areas in the field of speech pathology. Find out how these speech pathologists got their dream jobs in their current field; how they up-skill and keep their practice up-to-date; and what their journey was like as a new graduate. Students will also be given the rare and valuable experience to hear from a consumer of speech pathology services.
The 2020 Victorian Branch Student Representatives, from Australian Catholic University, La Trobe University and Melbourne University have combined forces to transform the traditional face-to-face event to an entirely online format.
On behalf of the Victorian Branch Student Representatives, we hope you enjoy this event.

SPEECH PATHOLOGY WEEK
23/08/2020 - 29/08/2020
Speech Pathology Australia is celebrating Speech Pathology Week from 23rd of August to 29th of August 2020. Speech Pathology Week seeks to promote the speech pathology profession and the work done by speech pathologists with the 1.2 million Australians who have a communication disability.
The theme for Speech Pathology Week in 2020 is: Communicating with confidence!
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has highlighted the challenges faced by Australians with communication disability. Communication is a basic human right and Speech Pathology Week seeks to make Australians aware of this.
Speech pathologists work to ensure everyone can communicate with confidence. It is important that the broader community understands that, 1.2 million Australians live with communication disability, communication disability is largely invisible. Unseen and out-of-sight, more confident communication helps maximise educational, health and social outcomes; and, communication is more than just speech.
