MADDISON MCDONALD

About

Maddison McDonald is a 4th year Speech Pathology student at La Trobe University and the La Trobe Speech Pathology Australia student representative. She is a motivated and organised student that enjoys learning and seeks every opportunity to do so. 

Maddy joined the SPA Victoria branch as an opportunity to further her knowledge and to hear about the latest changes to evidence based practice, allowing her to become a much more informed clinician. She took this position as an opportunity to connect with her fellow peers at La Trobe University and wanted to represent and advocate for them. She encourages fellow students to contact her with any questions or queries regarding membership, further skill development or general questions regarding the course. 

Maddy enjoys helping other people and has volunteered at La Trobe by lending her time and service as a student teacher for fellow anatomy and physiology students. She has helped tutor students currently partaking the same course as her and loves to see students thrive and reach their full potential. 

She is currently partaking in a rural placement in South Australia and encourages other students to take opportunities to move away and work in rural areas.
